The Plaza will serve as the social heart of SU 560—a welcoming gathering place surrounded by restaurants, retail, public art, and mixed-use buildings. Designed to host everyday activity as well as community events, performances, and celebrations, the Plaza will create a vibrant destination that brings together the University and Georgetown community.
Eco Gateway
The 70-acre Eco Gateway expands Southwestern University’s commitment to environmental stewardship by preserving and enhancing one of the region’s most significant natural landscapes. Connected by trails and thoughtfully integrated into the development, the Eco Gateway will support student research, outdoor learning, habitat restoration, and year-round recreation while offering visitors a place to experience the natural beauty of Central Texas.
Artscape
Art is woven into every aspect of the SU 560 experience. Public art, cultural spaces, and gathering places will create a district where creativity is part of everyday life, reflecting Southwestern University’s deep commitment to the arts. At the heart of this vision is the Art Park, a signature gateway that will establish the identity of SU 560 through a landmark public art experience while welcoming visitors to a community shaped by creativity, learning, and connection.
