Southwestern University Selects Banbury Development as Master Developer for SU 560

GEORGETOWN, Texas — Southwestern University selects Banbury Development as the master developer for Southwestern University 560 (SU 560), the University’s planned 560-acre mixed-use development adjacent to its historic campus in Georgetown, Texas.

Banbury will work with Southwestern University to guide the planning, development, and implementation of SU 560, a project designed to create a vibrant district that integrates education, business, arts and culture, hospitality, housing, recreation, and community life.

The selection follows a competitive process that evaluated development firms based on experience, expertise, vision, and the ability to support the University’s long-term goals for the project.

SU 560 is intended to strengthen Southwestern University’s educational mission while creating new opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and the broader Georgetown community. The development is guided by 12 core principles focused on connection, creativity, sustainability, economic vitality, and long-term impact.

Planning for the project is underway, with additional announcements regarding development milestones and partnerships expected as the project advances.
